Dark Sage Memory (2023-2024)
My most recent pieces. This collection is a continuation of some techniques employed in "Suspended Realities" (encased in epoxy resin), but expanded beyond, into more unified color patterns. Four pieces total, featuring the widest variety of dimensions of these collections.
Suspended Realities (2021-2023)
Encased almost entirely in epoxy resin, these surreal apocalyptic artifacts are abstract paintings morphed into sculptural forms via drastic natural and synthetic processes: extreme heating and cooling (melting candle wax), exposure to natural elements, etc. They keep artistic decisions suspended to question value and appreciation amidst the passage of space/time. Five pieces total, with three of the pieces featuring both a front and back.
Material Sketches (2019-2021)
Utilizing industrial materials, this collection was the impetus for my more sculptural, epoxy-encased paintings. A bridge between "Impressions of Time" and "Suspended Realities." This collection comprises thirteen pieces (the most of these collections), all of similar size and dimensions.
Impressions of Time (2016-2019)
These are some of the main works from this early period. Experimental, non-representational, process-oriented works. Several were further developed into pieces found in later collections. The first physical art pieces I had made in a long time, and mainly as a break from some of the writing and digital projects I was working on at the time.
